White Fillings

White Gold (Not Exactly True)

Historically, fillings were made of either amalgam or gold. These two metals were used because they were the most durable. Unfortunately, they were not very aesthetically attractive. In recent years, the composite resins have become comparable to amalgam and gold in terms of durability and longevity. The main difference is that the composite resins are white and can be tinted to match the natural tooth colouring.

This advance in technology allowed dentists to finally offer their patients the best of both worlds when it came to fillings: durability and aesthetics. At Constitution Dental, we use composite resins exclusively. This allows us to truly blend the look and feel of fillings into the natural anatomy of the surrounding teeth – making them virtually invisible to the untrained eye.
